Real Madrid has improved its record on spending money on transfers this summer. So far, the Royal Club has spent 303 million euros to reinforce the club after the unfortunate past season when it dropped out of the Champions League 1/8 finals and dropped out of the Primera Liga title.
Madrid’s most expensive summer addition is Belgian Eden Azar, drawn to Chelsea for 100m euros. Serbian striker Luca Jovic followed, for whom EUR 60 million was paid to Eintracht (Frankfurt). The other new entrants are Eder Milliato (Porto, 50m euros), Fernand Mendy (Lyon, 48m euros) and Rodrigo (Santos, 45m euros).
For the last time, Real has spent such a scale 10 years ago when Cristiano Ronaldo arrived at Santiago Bernabeu for 94 million euros from Manchester United. Then we’re also players like Kaka (Milan, 67m euros), Karim Benzema (Lyon, 35m euros), Cubi Alonso (Liverpool, 34.5m euros), Raul Albiol (Valencia, 15m euros) Alvaro Negredo (Almeria, 5m euros), Alvaro Arbeloa (Liverpool, 4m euros) and Esteban Garano (Getafe, 4m euros) or a total of 258.5m euros.
