Arsenal is preparing an offer of 30 million euros for Borussia (Dortmund) defender Manuel Akanji. Londoner’s manager Mikel Artera wants to strengthen the defense and the Swiss are at the top of his list.
The Gunners will make a third attempt to attract Akanji after failing last summer and during the January transfer window. Borussia did not want to part with him last year, as they released Abdu Diallo in Paris Saint-Germain.
This summer, however, the club may be more willing to let him go. The 24-year-old defender is not a solid starter in Lucien Favre’s team, although he performed at a level in his first season in Dortmund.
